Nanny Yvonne

Yvonne formally trained to be a nanny in England but completed her hands-on
training here in Boston over twenty years ago. Working for a variety of families from
newborn, infants, teens, to special needs. Each family come with its own unique set
of problems and situations, Yvonne has risen to any challenge she has been given.
From live- in to long-term to temporary nanny, Yvonne has seen it all! “I still like to
nanny to keep up to date with child rearing issues” she says. One of the things that
Yvonne has been working on is as a parent coach, “you can’t change the children’s
behavior until you advise the parents the correct way to teach them”.
Ms. Finnerty is also a weekly columnist for the BOSTON HERALD answering
questions from readers on predominately parenting issues. In addition she is a regular
on syndicated radio shows and local news shows. She has been featured on
GERALDO AT LARGE, FOX AND FRIENDS, MIKE AND JULIET MORNING
SHOW and many other news broadcasts. Yvonne is currently appearing in a cameo
appearance in the #1 Disney movie THE GAME PLAN starring Dwayne (The Rock)
Johnson and Kyra Sedgwick (The Closer) Yvonne has appeared in a spoof of Nanny
911 on SOUTH PARK but her biggest personal achievement is appearing in the
March 2007 issue of Mad Magazine, she says “Now I know I have really made it”.
In January 2007 Yvonne started working with the Meredith Corporation speaking at
the American Baby Faires on behalf of Johnson & Johnson. Yvonne also conducts
interactive parenting workshops and performs speaking engagements across the

Born and educated in London, England, Yvonne Finnerty traveled
to America to work as a nanny over twenty years ago. Her vast
experience in child-care services and her four years as an
Admissions Director for a private school here in Boston, reached a
worldwide audience in 2005. Yvonne was selected to appear on the
prime time hit series NANNY 911 for Fox Broadcasting in
association with Granada Entertainment USA. It is on television that Yvonne’s
professional skills provide a platform to benefit millions of parents and viewers. The
show is seen in over thirty four Countries, including the US, UK, Canada, South
America and Australia to name but a few. International audiences are given a chance
