Firstly I want to commend all the families who have made the choice to join our military. I am interested in hearing about the unique challenges you face and how the family operates in this environment. Your time with a family as a nanny will most likely be a short one due to the nature of your deployment. But, it is an important one, to work as a team in order to help with the very structure that makes deployment somewhat easier for families. Reliable child care! The course for Operation Child Care on this website is required, if you have a childcare background you will most likely use this as a refresher course. Please pay attention t the Safety section and videos, in order to get a certificate from ECSI (Emergency Care & Safety Institute) the course would have to be hands-on, in person with myself or another instructor for skills observation. If you are on a base near MA I can certainly come and make that happen!. We cover Safety/CPR/First aid and have a quiz at the end. The course is in both powerpoint and keynote, I am available as your coach and welcome feedback and questions. There are two complimentary courses with more to come, please let me know what you think in order for me to provide the information you would like. I believe that my success in the childcare industry is down to having an "Exceptional" brother who taught me everything! If you have a current CPR certification can you please make sure the Operation Child care office has a copy.
